Join Imagine Ballet Theatre as they present "CALO FLAMENCO" one night only October 3, 2009 at Peery's Egyptian Theater.

When: October 3, 2009

Dinner and Silent Auction: 6:00 p.m.

Performance: 8:00 p.m.

Tickets: $100 or table of 10 for $1000. Tickets can be purchased at Peery's Egyptian Theater Box Office by calling 801-689-8700, M-F between the hours of 2-6 P.M. or online at www.peerysegyptiantheater.com  or at SmithsTix at www.smithstix.com.

  • In Spanish "Calo" has several meanings - "heat (short for calor)" and "mannerism ;style of communication"  - all of which describes the essence of CALO FLAMENCO: Ballet de Martin Gaxiola, a professional flamenco repertory company based out of Phoenix, AZ.

  • "CALO FLAMENCO creates superior audio and visual experience that leaves audiences energized and awestruck." Dance Magazine states.."vivid..Gaxiola (is) possessed of a special developing elegence" (Marilyn Hunt).

  • Funds raised from this event will help support Imagine Ballet Theatre (IBT), a pre-professional youth ballet company, in residence in Peery's Egyptian Theater in Ogden, UT.  The mission of IBT is provide quality training and performance experience for the next generation of professional dancers.  IBT's Artistic Director is Raymond Van Mason, a former Ballet West Principal Dancer and Choreographer. He  holds a BFA in Ballet from the University of Utah. Imagine Ballet Theatre has won a Utah Best of State Award for "Best Children's Performing Group".  For more information contact IBT at ibtmason@comcast.net.
