30th Annual Women's Conference

Salt Lake Tribune columnist, Rebecca Walsh, will keynote the College of Eastern Utah’s 30th annual Women’s Conference on Friday, April 3 at the Jennifer Leavitt Student Center. Theme of the event is, “Then and Now – 30 Years of Celebration.”
Keynoting the morning session is Helper sculptor Karen Jobe Templeton who designed and constructed the Crandall Canyon Mine Memorial in Huntington.
Participants will have eleven workshops they can attend during the day-long event. Workshops include Sherri Mills talking about her book, “I Almost Divorced My Husband, I Went on Strike Instead;” Pam Sharp, “Marketing Your Home Business to Make More Money;” Elaine Wood, “Knowledge is Power, Putting Finances in Place Before the Worst Happens;” Jan Thornton, “Body Image and How it Affects You;” and Jennifer Douros (Sandesh Kaur), “De-stressing Your Life With Yoga.”
Another author, Lori Akers, will discuss “Women in the 21st Century,” while the Zion’s Bank Women’s Financial Group provides information on “Women’s Financial Independence,” Dr. Karen Radley, “You and Your Skin: a Look at Skin Damage, Aging, Cancer and Laser Therapy;” Carol Castleberry, “Wills and Trusts;” Hank Savage, “Growing Beautiful Flowers and Vegetable Gardens in Southeastern Utah;” and Marie Bryner Bowles, “Taking Awesome Digital Photos.”
After lunch, the Outstanding Woman of Southeastern Utah will be named.
