March for Parks 2009

Join us for March for Parks 2009, held in conjunction with National Parks Week.  Also introducing the new Jr. Ranger program.  To be held at Golden Spike National Historic Site on April 25, 2009 at 9:00 a.m.  There will be 3 walks, 1 1/2 mile - 5 mile - 7 - mile.  Walk the big fill, visit the Chinese Arch, count the drill marks in Carmichaels's Cut, see the remants of a telegraph pole.  Other attractions will include locomotive engine house tours, films at the visitor center, a cell phone tour.  Receive a souvenir water bottle with pre-registration.  Meet in the Big Fill parking lot to sign in.  For more information or to pre-register, call  435-279-0146.
