Detour Utah

This is Detour Utah’s third year entertaining at the Mountain Spirit Heritage Festival. Besides becoming well known in the bluegrass/country-western circles, this band has definitely become a favorite at the festival,
playing for the Friday night Wagon Train Camp dinners in Coalville, and also performing concerts on Saturday in Rockport State Park.

 

Bob Hewson, who is originally from California, had a band there named “Detour”. When he moved to Utah three years ago, he had no trouble finding very talented, seasoned musicians, and immediately formed “Detour Utah”. Since then they have made a name for themselves playing at Bunnies Private Club in Coalville, The Farmers Market at the Canyons, The Sleigh Rides at Garff Ranch, The Coffee House at the Unitarian Church in SLC, Birthday parties and anniversaries at the Old Church in Rockport State Park, and various other private parties. The distinctive sound of Bob’s harmonica gives this bluegrass/country-western band an added flair.
